As Christians, we are given the opportunity to come to God in prayer. Prayer can take many forms. Sometimes we want to praise God for the good works he has done. Sometimes, we want to confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. Other times, we are filled with gratitude to God, and so, we want to offer prayers of thanksgiving.
